Termites

There are several species of termites in Australia, with Coptotermes frenchi being the most common in the Queanbeyan area. The nest of these destructive pests are often detected in eucalyptus tree trunks. The danger of having a termite infestation is they often go unnoticed, until you realize that it has caused a huge damage to a structure.

If protection is not applied, they can invade the structural timbers of your home, poles and fences unnoticed.  Since most insurance companies do not cover termite damage, this could potentially cost you tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to repair.
